Cost guide
A practical guide to how senior living pricing actually works — what’s in the monthly rate, what’s an add-on, and what to watch for when comparing communities.
Free for families. We're paid by the community after a successful move-in.
You’ll see plenty of websites quoting precise senior living costs. We don’t — because real pricing depends on the community, room type, care level, and what’s included. Posted ranges that sound exact are usually wrong by the time you call. We’ll walk you through realistic ranges for your specific situation on the phone.
Care level. Independent living costs less than assisted living. Assisted living costs less than memory care. Higher care levels generally cost more.
Room type. Studios cost less than one-bedrooms. One-bedrooms cost less than two-bedrooms. Shared rooms (when offered) cost less still.
Community size and amenities. Newer, larger communities with more amenities tend to charge more.
Location within the metro. Different parts of Tulsa and OKC carry different price ranges.
Add-on services. Medication management, higher levels of personal care, transportation, and certain therapies are often add-ons.
All-inclusive. One monthly rate covers rent, meals, and most care. Easier to budget; sometimes higher base price.
Tiered care. A base rent plus a care level fee that’s reassessed periodically as needs change.
À la carte. Base rent plus separate charges for each service used. Cheapest on paper, most variable in reality.
What’s included in the monthly rate, and what’s an add-on?
How is care level assessed, and how often?
What happens to monthly cost if my loved one’s needs increase?
Is there a community fee or move-in fee? Is it refundable?
How often do rates change, and how much notice is given?
We’ll talk through realistic ranges for the care level your loved one needs, your preferred area, and your budget. Then we’ll narrow recommendations to communities you can actually afford long-term — not just the first month.
